After Camp

Thanks a lot for coming out to Will’s improvisation camp. Thanks for contributing to our Austin musical community and sharing your talent and energy with us.

And thanks to our hosts, John and Carol, for sharing their provisions and space with us. Such a great vibe in that room.

Thanks, also, to Will for leading an insightful class and for bringing Tony along who added a lot to the afternoon.

It was nice seeing lightbulbs going off for people as the afternoon went along. The concept of space which led into concepts of listening and musical communication were really cool. Moving people from playing a lot of notes during a solo to playing thoughtful phrases was powerful.

I think Will’s approach of checking in and offering each person several rounds of one on one “master class” time was a fine approach.
