After Camp
Thanks a lot for coming to Gwil’s Song Doctor Austin Band Camp. This was Gwil’s third, with us, and he said he liked this new format the best — so we’ll continue it! Look for Song Doctoring with other songwriters and hopefully we can coerce Gwil into coming back and doing another one!

Band Camp Event
Song Doctor Session with sublime songwriter Gwil Owen! (*Look for his songs performed by Keith Richards, Little Feat, Toni Price, and others). At this event, Gwil will listen to our unfinished songs and help them along. He’ll spend the entire camp working with folks so everyone gets time.
Song Doctoring with Gwil Owen
- play unfinished songs
- discuss and probe and create
- two-and-a-half hour format with group participation
Beer, soft drinks, and very light snacks provided.
*Gwil Owen's songs have been covered by Toni Price, Keith Richards, Levon Helm, Irma Thomas, Little Feat, and Jack Ingram, among others. He was an Academy Award nominee in 1999 for the song "A Soft Place to Fall" (co-written with Allison Moorer) featured in Robert Redford's movie The Horse Whisperer.
