After Camp
Hi folks,
“Danny Britt is a gentleman, he’s funny, his guitar tone is immaculate, and he writes great music. He’s been doing it a long time around some of the finest who’ve ever done it. Danny also understands the art, the craft, and the business of songwriting.
We are so fortunate to have Danny in our Austin musical community, and it was a real privilege to have him come and teach a songwriting Austin Band Camp. He shared stories and songs and gave us some really practical tips on how to come up with ideas and craft them into a song. Bravo, Danny, well done! Thank you!

Songwriting with Danny Britt
We'll talk about:
- How to come up with ideas.
- How to get started once you have an idea.
- Then how to finish it off.
Danny has performed around the country and internationally for most of his life in a variety of situations. He was good friends with Jerry Jeff Walker and Guy Clark for many years and credits them with inspiring his own songwriting. Danny has co-written songs with Chris Wall and Jon Ims. Both are award-winning songwriters with lots of hits.
He is currently a member of the band Grouchy Like Riley with songwriting partners Marvin Dykhuis and Chip Dolan. This band tours around the country as well as internationally and has recorded 2 full length CD's of original music with another currently under way.
Danny started Red Dawg Music in 2000 for the specific purpose of recording and releasing his music.
Beer, soft drinks, and very light snacks provided.
